Card Session 9th July

I made ten cards this afternoon and was quite pleased with the results. I seem to have had a lot of purple in my efforts today!

The birds directly above is one kit, but it would be too fat to post as a standard letter so I split it and made two. The pack I bought had 2 sheets of two different designs in it and the others were like this (made some time ago):

The fine detail of the tiny birds doesn’t show up very well above so these are cropped:
  Two favourites today I think:

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I’ve pulled out some cards to donate to our church – I took out close to 200 cards that still left me with at least twice that many still in my stash! I love your bird cards and there is absolutely nothing wrong with purple! Hehe! I’m betting your cards get a place of pride and are displayed for weeks (if not kept as framed art)!

    • It’s a nice thought, and I know at least one person who keeps them. I love purple and have lots of coloured paper and butterflies I can play with.

    Love that last one!

They’re gorgeous, and the purple adds beautiful depth and clarity

    • Purple is a good colour for cards and I have a lot of pretty papers and stickers I can use to make some more. No two are the same, though ideas are similar.
