My parents had a dog that loved to be hoovered. In fact, he would sit in front of the cupboard preventing it from being put away until he was done.
Maggie never really cared for it, and Barney used to charge it thinking it was a monster to be conquered.
Now Maya, well, let these pictures tell the story…………..

Incidentally, this was AFTER we’d groomed her and removed another shih tsu equivalent in loose dog fur!

About pensitivity101
I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes!
In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too.
On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts.
From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives.
We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
It’s too funny. She does seem to love it. And I swear she’s grown again.
Every day Fransi…… she hangs off BOTH ends of her cushion now!
Amazing!! She has a more mature look too.
I think it’s because we’ve brushed out all her puppy fur and she resembles a young adult now. Her tail actually touches the ground and has a cure kiss curl at the end.
Wow!
That’s great!
🙂
Wish I could vacuum my little porch cat, Scruffy. His long, thick coat is always getting matted and it’s a real challenge trying to brush it out. Every time I brush him I take off about a pound of hair.
We couldn’t believe how much fur Maya was shedding and when we brushed her, it was never ending. It’s not so bad now, but we are grooming her every day,
That’s so cute! Good deal that Maya is not afraid of the vacuum! Most all the cats we had were scared and would hide. We didn’t use it on them, but still they didn’t like it. All except one, and he wouldn’t move out of the way. We’d have to pick him up, interrupting his nap, to finish the floors. haha. 🙂
Love it!
Absolutely she loves that hoover doesn’t she 💜💜
I love the way she snuggles in to be done!
So cute 💜☺️
She can be, the great lummox ❤
They all can 💜💜
Oh my goodness! 😄 Ziggy thinks the vacuum is an evil to be bested, just like your Barney. I get it out and he starts barking and darting at it, but if one heads in his direction – he runs away and hides. I wonder if the noise hurts his ears or something. It’s so funny to watch their personalities isn’t it?
It never fails to fascinate me how much dogs differ, even the same breeds. We are really lucky with Maya, she is so laid back and if something surprises her, she’s inquisitive. The GSD pup over the road is three weeks or so younger and totally different, barking at everything and very wilful. Maya is wilful too, but we are working on that and it seems to be paying off.
Wonderful that Maya isn’t scared! It will certainly help keep the shedding under control. Our first Aussie loved to be vacuumed – Ranger not so much. Mochi is a bit afraid of loud noises and the vacuum counts in that category. She does however love to be brushed!
Great that she loves to be brushed. Some dogs don’t. Maya enjoys it and falls asleep.
Lol! Funny! I know what you mean about grooming! I am grooming Nitro every day now too! I am getting some amount of hair off of him! I could make a fur coat out of it!
We wonder if we have another dog in there!
Annie tries to attack the vacuum. She hates it and runs out the doggie door when I won’t let her attack it. LOL
Barney used to attack our upright.
How funny, love those pictures!
She seems to love it Keith.
She looks like she’s having fun 😊
She does seem to like it!
