The day started early but fresh as it had been raining in the night. We managed to catch up with a couple of hours sleep in the lounge but were up and running properly just after 7am.
To be honest, apart from breakfast, I don’t know where the next hour or so went, but we were walking Maya at 8.30 and on our way into town by 9. I wanted t o go to the craft shop and see if I could get some card boxes for the decoupage cards that tend to be too fat for the envelopes. I’ve drawn a blank locally and town was no better, though I was given some tips on how to make my own.
I remember in the cottage I was able to buy a pack of about 25 for around £3. They are available on line for £10.25, but I only want one, maybe two. Plan B was to buy a bigger envelope, but no-one seems to stock 7″ square envelopes unless you buy a pack of 7″ cards to go with them, these being £5 for 25. Sadly seven inch cards attract the higher postage rate as they are too long/wide for the relevant slot, and I try to keep postage costs down.
I shall have to think on a solution.
I treated myself to a new book though I’ve read it before, but it was on a charity stall and one of my favourites by Erica James called It’s The Little Things. It was only 50p, but I gave them £1 as it was for The British Heart Foundation and we donated a lot of our stuff to them after my Dad died.
We are still standing 💜💜💜💜
🙂
Have you googled the envelope issue, I’m sure others would have had the same issue 😊
I’m working on it. The boxes are available, but costly, and I can buy A5 envelopes though they’re the wrong shape.
Making your own envelopes is an easy solution… I’ve done it and it is easy if you have a ruler, sharp scissors and a little bit of glue! The only real cost is for the paper…
I’m going to have a go at making a box tomorrow.
