Gleaming, sparkling, clean and new,
Samson stood to attention and admired the view.
Seeing who he wanted so much to impress
He hoped his surprise was worth all the stress:
Delilah smiled from across the lawn
Dispersing thoughts of being forlorn,
The engine settled to a steady thrum
And all his fears were overcome.
Up into the air the two did fly
Waving at all as they passed by
Free as a bird surfing on the breeze
Soaring high above clouds and trees.
‘Delilah, my love, will you agree to wed,
There is only room for you in my head.’
‘Of course, sweet Samson’ she replied with a grin
‘Just tell me how to land this thing!’
