Fibbing Friday 20th May: my response

There’s a new kid on the block and Melanie is my new co-host for Fibbing Friday.
What a great set of questions for her debut FF post!
This week’s questions:

  1. What’s behind the 8 ball?
    Seven others in the shade.
  2. What’s up the creek?
Peace, tranquility and a place to think.
  3. What is hanging when one says, “Hang ten”?
Not a pair of eight balls, that’s for sure.
  4. What size pole is it that you wouldn’t touch someone with?
They say size matters, so mine would be extendable.
  5. How do you feel when you’re on cloud nine?
Anxious because you forgot your umbrella.
  6. What does “at sixes and sevens” mean?
A die has six sides and the numbers opposite each other add up to seven, so I guess you’re pretty square but feel lucky.
  7. Do you take five?
Five was a chocolate bar, but has now been replaced by Dime, so yeah, I’ll take a five dollar chocolate bar any day.
  8. Which sport is referenced when the term “four bagger” is used?
I’d say golf, as you have to have so many bags for clubs, balls, refreshments on the green and cash for the nineteenth hole.
  9. How many rings in the circus?
Engagement, friendship, wedding, eternity or dearest?
  10. What is the loneliest number?
Can ‘0’ be a number or just a digit? As a number it’s pretty empty.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  4. Thanks for the welcome, Di! Very clever answers, it’s obvious you’re a numbers ‘girl’ 🙂 I never knew opposing sides on a die added up to seven! I got knowledge as well as laughter today! 😄

    • Always loved numbers, which is why my job as a financial analyst was right up my street. I always said give me a list of figures and I’d balance it twenty different ways, and as it turned out, that was exactly what I did!
      Fun questions.
