SHARE YOUR WORLD 5-09-2022

Melanie is our host for the Monday Share Your World questions which is what makes Monday a good day for me!
QUESTIONS

  1. What two totally normal things become really weird if you do them back to back?
The brain has stalled on this one Melanie!
  2. What is something that you just recently realized that you are embarrassed by, that you didn’t realize embarrassed you?
I don’t usually get embarrassed, but I used to with my music as years ago if someone I knew came in while I was playing, I’d usually stop.
  3. If  Australia (including New Zealand and Tasmania – which I KNOW are different countries); the UK, Ireland, Germany, the USA, and Brazil or Italy were represented by one food, which would it be for each?
I’d say chips /fries for all but if I had to say something different for each country, I’d go with Kangaroo steaks, chips, white pudding, frankfurters, hot dogs, coffee, and ice cream.
  4. What might happen if Goldilocks and the Three Bears were set in modern times?
There would be an almighty punch-up and Baby Bear would sue for theft and bed eviction.
  5. Where was the most most embarrassing or inappropriate place you’ve passed audible gas?
In the bank vault years ago and as I was the only one in there when a colleague came in, I couldn’t escape blame. They were very polite and didn’t say a word, and yes, it was fragrant.

GRATITUDE SECTION:

If you celebrate it, how was your Mother’s Day?  What did you do?   If you don’t (because you’re a single guy or it’s not in your culture) please share something fun you did recently.

In the UK, we celebrate Mothering Sunday in March and I light a candle at home.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Hehe! The answer to the first is brush your teeth and then drink orange juice!! I’m smiling ear to ear at the photos of you and your mum having a good time on the patio!

    Great answers lovely photos 💜💜

  4. Thanks for Sharing Your World Di! Splendid photos and wasn’t your mum just a lovely woman? Just like her daughter. I get told by family that they ‘see’ my mother in my face now and I don’t honestly know whether to be complimented or appalled. My mother wasn’t ugly or anything, but as she aged her personality showed through. It was rather ugly. So it follows if I look like her…. right? Obviously you and your mum both are beautiful inside as well as out! What a lovely tribute! ❤ I loved your answers and those first two questions have stumped a lot of people, so no worries on your part! If one is alone at their job and nobody seems to be around, there's no harm in letting one rip…as long as a "Fandango" doesn't occur. You'd have to read his post to understand what I mean. Now that situation? EMBARRASSING. I've only ever had it happen once, in the worst place possible and it was very very evident that someone had sharted. I thought I'd die or wished I could. 😳 Have a great week and hugs to your 'little' fur baby!

    • Thanks Melanie. My Mum was a lovely woman and made everyone welcome. There was always a cup of tea, sandwich or cake for our friends. First thing we offer to visitors is tea or coffee.
