It’s Saturday 7th May

Good morning!
The air is fresh and clean following some much needed rain overnight. The veg plots are saying thank you, and the grass has grown two inches!

No doggy class this week but we have been lucky to continue with the joint dog walks with Kela so Maya is getting used to other dogs around her. We’ve met up with several on our final walk over the last couple of nights, and the change in her is brilliant. In fact, if I hadn’t mentioned it, the other evening we met up with a lady who has two retired greyhounds, and we all walked together! Things are paying off, but I so wish we could get the night time right.
We were up at 3 as Maya had a churny tummy but didn’t want to do anything. Hubby had reflux so needed to sit up, so we ended up coming into the lounge with blankets.
Maya settled OK and I slept until just before 6. Hubby was asleep opposite and is still dozing, so I won’t disturb him.

Quiet day today all being well.
Hope your weekend is off to a good start. Keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

It is dull chilly and wet right now but that should change .
Well done on the training sounds like you are bossing it πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  2. Maybe you should call your lounge the alternate bedroom! Someone seems to always be sleeping there! Good news on Maya. She has a following already!

    • We’re glad we have two three seater settees as they are just the right length to snuggle down on. When Kela was here, one of us would sleep in there with her and the other with Maya in the bedroom.

So glad Maya is getting better at being around other dogs! Of course there is balance in the universe thus an early morning potty break! I hope your hubby is feeling better soon…

    • Thanks Va. We are making such good progress in everything except the early morning wake up. 5am again this morning, but she did both businesses. We are hoping as she gets older she will actually grow out of it, or at least go back to bed until we’re ready to get up!
