Battle of the Nines

Hubby got home just after 12.30. I think he enjoyed his Me Time, even if he didn’t get the pair of shoes he wanted. However, he did manage to replace our garden clogs (cheapies so no need for my feet to be there) and do a bit of shopping, which included some flowers for me, bless him.

Lunch was good and made such a pleasant change, after which we went round to collect Kela to walk the dogs together as our friend was expecting a visitor this afternoon.
As it turned out, said friend arrived this morning! No problems though and the dogs were good, though Maya seemed a little distracted.

The skies opened this afternoon and it was chucking it down. There will be flash floods in some areas as this is the first rain we’ve had for about three months. To give you an idea of how much we had fall in about twenty five minutes, our water butt is now half full and it was completely empty. No sign of the forecast thunder, and the sun is trying to shine now!

My morning was productive and I made nine cards. One of them is for a dog walking couple who are getting married at the beginning of June.  It’s going to be a small private affair with just the four of them, her son is giving her away, and her daughter is bridesmaid.
As it’s not a traditional wedding, my card isn’t either, but the sentiment is heartfelt.
Sadly the picture didn’t come out that well.
I made two cards out of this particular kit and have another sheet of the same design.

I found a set of dogs at the bottom of the box, so put those together for Hello cards, then made a few with some odd and ends I had lying around.

The selection on the right are six inch cards, the square ones on the left five.
Favourite today was the purple one. I love the colour purple and this was two pieces of contrasting paper, a topper and some diamante style butterflies (and you know how much I love using butterflies!).

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
