One third of the year over as time gathers momentum!! So true that as you get older, time goes by faster. Hubby and I were saying the other day when did we get to look so old?
Doggy class today instead of Sunday and I shall find out if it’s a permanent change or just for the Bank Holiday weekend. It works out very well for us as I’m taking our friend to the local doctor’s practice where they are giving the latest Covid boosters. We haven’t been invited yet for ours, but we are only in our 60s and they are still only doing those in their 80s.
We bought Maya a new style collar yesterday, a half choker similar to the one Kela wears.
The full choker we bought is too long and Hubby has been using her usual collar with mixed results, so we thought along these lines. When we came back from our shopping trip yesterday, Hubby dropped my off by the park and I walked her home on her usual collar. I didn’t meet up with anyone or anything until half way round the estate when a guy we know was walking his little dog on an extending lead some distance away. Maya saw him, and I made her sit until they were out of sight, then counted to sixty before we continued on our way. She was pretty good and on a scale of 0 to 10, it was a definite 8 as she sat at the kerb until I told her to cross and trotted along beside me, though she did lose a little bit of concentration a couple of times, but at least I had no lunging.
I tried out the new collar in the afternoon and it was brilliant. She was brilliant. The walk was brilliant, in fact the most perfect I have had with her, so I hope it was not a one off!
If only we could get her to go through the night, but maybe our class leader has some ideas.
You too and happy weekend π€

A good choice and so happy the walk was a success!!
Thanks Val.
