Today is Tuesday 26th April

The day started too early with Maya getting us up around 4.20 to go out.
We think it is probably our fault as we’ve been giving her her last meal around 5pm so we are delaying that until 6. Hopefully it will make a difference and she’ll go through until  at least 5.30 as we’d been making good progress before the clock’s changed!

It’s another sunny day, but the wind will not let up. Not a lot on our agenda so I am hoping to catch up with Hello cards and do some prep work. I might even have a nap later!

Showers and breakfasts have been had, so we are off to walk Maya and hope there are not too many people about. It’s just after 8 (not chocolates) now so we might be lucky.

Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I hope the shift works for added slumber! I haven’t had an After 8 Mint Chocolate for ever! All we get now are the Andes Mint Chocolates… the others were better!

  2. Not that I ever really thought about it but I didn’t know you all changed your clocks too! I thought that was a US thing. I guess because Arizona never adopted it I never imagined anyone else doing it too. One good thing about knowing you is I am definitely broadening my horizon!

Hope the day was amazing Di! And you had a nice walk with Maya! X

    • It was not a bad day at all, even if I did end up going for a paddle with my shoes and socks on up to my ankles. Hubby is doing most of the walks at the moment because he is more authoritative than I am and Maya behaves when he’s on the other end of the lead!

After 8s… blimey that takes me back. Do they still exist? Like Milk Tray they were a Christmas staple back in the day.

    • They do three varieties now for Christmas Geoff: milk, white and the traditional plain. Milk Tray and Black Magic aren’t how I remember them either, and they’re even paying around with the traditional Quality Street toffees! Soon in order to curb sugar intake and address obesity issues, you will just have a packet of wrappers.
