It’s four o’clock in the afternoon and we have had a busy morning.
Maya gave us almost seven hours last night as we were both shattered after fixing the radiator and after giving her a walk round the block and her performing both businesses, we had an early night.
It’s been a lovely day and we had some shopping to do so after breakfast and my walking her whilst Hubby showered, we had a field trip. I’m glad we went early as the town was busy when we arrived just after 9.30. We did our shopping, including a visit to the pet shop to replace Maya’s tug toy with a rubber figure of eight which she’s a little unsure of, probably because it stinks! It’s outside in the garden and hopefully will lose some of its smelliness. She’s allowed inside and was very well behaved, only sniffing the biscuit containers, not trying to pilfer one. We also gave her a short walk in town and got a lot of admiring glances and some fuss.
I bought extra bags of treats for her today for our walks so that I can mix them with the kibble we have been using.
We are lucky to know some back roads and thus avoided a lot of traffic coming back, but what we saw going into the town was pretty heavy and slow moving.
Lunch was a ready meal so I didn’t have to worry too much after which I walked Kela, so that was around 2 0’clock. The heat is going out of the day now and the sun has retired behind clouds. We ran the heating yesterday and everything seems fine so if it gets really cold, we should have no problems. Hubby is glad he invested in the proper tools for the job though.
Photo taken last week.
Plans are to walk Maya again around 5pm, then a final walk this evening before bed. Who knows, maybe we’ll have another ‘lie in’ tomorrow.
You keep a busy life. I am glad you have heat when needed. Maya is learning quickly all the right behaviors.
well, apart from a slight hiccough yesterday and this morning.
Wow! She is growing by leaps and bounds! Good to hear that she is sleeping longer and her manners are coming along nicely too!!
She’s doing OK Val. Had a minor setback yesterday and this morning, but Hubby seems to have put her right.
