QUESTIONS

Do You Prefer Salty Foods or Sweet Foods?
It depends on my mood. I have a terrible sweet tooth, but sometimes I crave peanuts or crisps (chip to my US friends). I don’t use salt in my cooking and reduce any sugar in my recipes. I can have the best of both worlds with sweet and salty popcorn.

Would you rather be in a place where it is excessively hot or excessively cold?
If you’re cold, you can always add layers. If you’re hot, there is only so much you can discard without being arrested. I hate the heat and the cold doesn’t do me much good either, but it would be nice to live somewhere where it was warm all the year round.

Favorite Mode of long distance travel (Bus, Plane, Train, Automobile, or other).
I love to fly.

What was your favorite holiday growing up? (You can also use American holidays or appropriate holidays from your country)
My family didn’t have a lot of holidays when I was growing up. I can remember a caravan holiday where it rained every day and we were almost as wet inside as we were outside. We had a few camping holidays and they were fun though.

Gratitude Section

What gave you the most gratification this week?
Finally getting an internet connection after having to wait three days instead of one.
What was even better was that the engineer who came to see us had 2 GSDs, so Maya took to him instantly.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Thanks So for Sharing! 😊. Maya is rapidly growing into her ears and remains a Beautiful Girl! I wondered about you, but figured you were busy..sorry about the internet! That’s so annoying! It must have been disappointing to spend your holiday watching it rain, but some times that’s what happens! Welcome back! You were missed! 🤗

    I can so relate to the temperature question. You are so very correct! You can add layers but when you get down to bare skin there isn’t much left to do!!
