We still have internet service so I’m making the most of it.
Having got up relatively early (for me at 6.30) I had breakfast, then took Maya for a walk.
We met up with two other dog owners and she wasn’t too bad, though I stayed on my side of the road. This wasn’t because I didn’t know the other people, but I didn’t want her lunging and starting the day off on the wrong foot. To be honest, the sparrows and blackbirds were more distracting on our walk, but on a scale of one to ten, it was a worthy 8.
We had two male pheasants on our neighbour’s front lawn last night. One was decidedly chubby and would have made a nice meal, but the other was a bit scrawny. Unusual to see them here, but then we’ve had deer, geese, ducks, foxes and badgers in our street.
The day has dawned bright and sunny, but we had a heavy frost this morning and I had to put the heating back on as the house was very chilled.
