Today is Saturday April 2nd

After a wet and soggy night, it’s quite lovely now with some beautiful sunshine. We’ve taken a chance and put some washing out so you never know, it might dry.
Maya has had two walks today so far, and good on both of them. The shorter lead seems much better and now that Hubby has extended it with some chain links, it can be adjusted for our different heights.

We’ve been shopping this morning and managed to get the Gaviscon original solution to help Hubby with his reflux when it plays up. Everywhere again is going for peppermint flavour remedies and his stomach can’t tolerate that.
Maya has been treated to a new raggy toy, one that is much smaller than the one we had as we envisaged not only some casualties in our knickknack shelves, but a bruised dog as it was long enough to thump her on the flank when she shook it. I think she likes it as it’s beef flavoured. She has been so good for us as a lot of people have come up to say Hi and make a fuss. She loves the attention.

Lunch was fish, hash browns and baked beans which Hubby prepared while I walked Maya when we got back.  My feet are still sore, but the cold compress yesterday has definitely helped and I shall continue with that today.
Hope you are all having a good day. Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

The sun barely peeked out from behind the clouds today here. It was raining or misting all day but it did melt all the snow so that was good. I really want to see some sustained sunshine but I need to be patient!! Sounds like Maya is turning into a very social pup – with some good manners too!
