5 Things Taken For Granted

Dr Tanya is our host for the Five Things Tuesday challenge.  This week it’s things we take for granted.
My Hubby, though I try not to and cannot imagine my life without him in it.
My health, even after two breast cancer strikes, I am still pretty healthy.
Our home, we keep on top of everything and can afford to run it.
My teeth: sounds daft but it has always been one of my major fears to lose them.
My sense of humour: it’s always there to see me through harder times, but would I fold without it?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I always take my sense of humour for granted! I shouldn’t 😀

This is a very relevant list.

That’s so interesting that even after two breast cancer strikes you still sometimes take your health for granted. Then again, if you had to constantly appreciate it, you’d also live in constant fear of losing your health.

    • Hi Astrid. I’ve always been pretty healthy apart from the weight thing and my diabetes is controlled by diet so although I’m food aware, I have quite a flexible diet.

  5. What a grand list! 🙂 Good stuff there, especially #1. And I’m SURE that you’ve included Maya in your list (although I do NOT think you take her at all for granted). Beautiful girl that she is! ❤

  6. A truly great list.
You are blessed to have all this.
