It is another glorious day so more washing is out as we did the bedding together with the tee shirt Maya ran off with yesterday as I was bringing things in from the line. She so loves to ‘help’.
Hubby had a good trip though was really tired when he got home yesterday. We ended up having an early night and tried sleeping in the bedroom. Maya got us up at 12.30 then settled down until 4.40 when I got up to see to her. Wee and poos for me (as it had been for Hubby earlier when I could see the ‘present’ in the garden in daylight) but she wouldn’t settle again so I came into the lounge, gave her a bit of fuss and ended up getting about an extra hour and a half. I’ve had a nap this morning.
We had a walk after breakfast and she did pretty well, meeting up with a little jack russell we know. Their first meeting was a bit yappy on her part, but Maya wasn’t bothered, and today after an initial grrr from Cinders and bounciness on Maya’s part, both dogs got the idea it was OK.
Comparisons are definitely being made though. Our friend is apparently having a few problems with Sheba, though whether it’s walking on the lead or toilet training is unclear as we are only hearing things third party.ย Maya is that little bit older and the breeder had started basic training before we got her, so we have an advantage. Sheba likes to be in front, whereas we try not to let Maya get ahead of us, no matter how hard we have to struggle keeping her on a short lead to do so. We end up stopping and starting quite often until she realises we are taking her for a walk, not the other way round.
Sheba is definitely ahead with weeing and pooing outside of the garden though. This could be because they started their walks earlier so the extra three weeks of ownership have paid off and set the ground rules.
It just goes to show that although they are the same breed, they are so very different and have their own personality.
Post with pictures to follow.
Yes indeed they are all individuals ๐
