Today is Tuesday 8th March

It is a beautiful day here and I have watched the sun rise above the roofs of the bungalows opposite.
Hubby had the early shift with Maya getting up at 4am when she performed both businesses then finally settled and gave us another hour and a half. I got up at 6 to let her out but she didn’t want to do anything, so we came in and I gave her breakfast. We have now upped the kibble portion to that of the next two month age. We are convinced she has grown at least a foot!
She has done another poo this morning and we are getting into a good routine.  Hopefully the early morning starts will begin to phase out, but we won’t push it. She has come so far in her ‘tells’, we are not going to blow it now.

I spent the majority of yesterday evening asleep on the settee, whereas after the gate had been put in place and things tidied away, Hubby had a snooze in the afternoon. Working in relay seems to be a good idea at the moment.

Lunch today is a two day chili. I haven’t made one for a while and as the meat is one of the larger portions, it will easily do us two days. No titbits for puppy though. With Maggie if I was cooking mince or chicken, I would do the meat first then put a little in her dinner as a treat before I added any other ingredients to the pan.

Our back garden is now divided off and our veg plots are safe. Maya has access to about 2/3 of it so plenty of room to play, zoom around and do the business.  Now we just have to remove all the stones!

Have a good day everyone and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

It seems like you have a well defined routine. With tie, her outdoor visits will be further apart. 🙂

    • We hope so. I’d rather she got us up in the night than have accidents in the house. We are learning her time patterns, and at least when we let her out, she does something.
