I have to be honest (as well as being really tired) I didn’t know how to answer these but didn’t want to not participate.
Questions
Is any one person’s life worth more than another’s? Why or why not?
I would say NO. I value all life and whilst some individuals may be better off, that does not mean they are worth more than another.
Can a good person do evil things and remain a good person? Under what circumstances?
I think so. Self preservation or the protection of our loved ones are always strong motives to act.
Is somebody morally culpable if they take a morally wrong action at the orders of a superior? What if their life is at stake?
Tough one. Orders are orders, unless there is rebellion or mutiny among the ranks.
People had widely mixed opinions about illegal bananas, so let’s take that a step further this week: What would be the worst thing for a government to make illegal?
I’d like to say their Expense Accounts but they’d never do that would they!
GRATITUDE SECTION (Always optional).
Given global events right now, do you have words of comfort or an uplifting thought that you’d like to share with the world?
These were much more difficult questions for sure. I enjoyed your gratitudes.
Thanks!
Difficult questions that have been debated among philosophers for ages. I like your answers!
Thank you!
Nicely answered Di
Thanks
You’re welcome
Thanks Di for taking time out of your busy life and Sharing Your World! Wonderfully thoughtful answers, even if you were tired! That government illegal answer made me roll on the floor, laughing! Ziggy was concerned! 😉 😅 Because, no. Their expense accounts, golden parachutes, and bonuses are something they’d NEVER make illegal. They ought to be forced to share though. Some hope of that too! Give your ‘little’ love a hug and pet for me! She’s magnificent! ❤ 🐶 Have a peaceful week!
Thanks Melanie.
