E.M.’s Sunday Ramble Prompt #13

Amy is our hostess for the Sunday Ramble. Check it out here

This week’s topic is “Weird and Silly“.

Remember to be silly and have fun with these answers 🙂

Here are the questions:

  1. What are five things you could buy at a gas station to make the cashier look at you oddly?
  2. If someone were to narrate your life, who would you choose to do it?
  3. Have you ever given an impromptu speech about something you know nothing about?
  4. What will be the most laughable artifacts they find from our generation?
  5. Time stands still for everyone except you for an hour. How would you spend that time?

OK then: hope these make you smile.

  1. What are five things you could buy at a gas station to make the cashier look at you oddly?
A pair of sunglasses, an umbrella, a crossword puzzle book, a toy whip and a ball of string..
  2. If someone were to narrate your life, who would you choose to do it?
Dame Judy Dench. She can make a telephone directory interesting.
  3. Have you ever given an impromptu speech about something you know nothing about?
Once, on Reflections and could only comment about mirrors and thoughts.
  4. What will be the most laughable artifacts they find from our generation?
A pen and paper……. already laughable to ‘the young’ with their apps and high tech.
  5. Time stands still for everyone except you for an hour. How would you spend that time?
    Getting some sleep!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. Dame Judy is a great choice.

  2. Great answers! I never thought about how laughable a pen and paper might be but I think you are spot on!

There isn’t much selection at a gas station… now if I were at a grocery or department store I’m sure I could get the cashier to give me a strange look!

  4. Lauren says:

Oh to get some extra sleep. 🙂

I am not sure how I missed your post unless it was from the pain fog. I’m sorry I am just reading your rambles 😦

I giggled at the grocery list for the gas station, Mary Poppins with a twist? *giggles* Can I have extra sleep with everyone too?

Thanks for all the smiles, and I enjoyed your answers very much! ❤ I hope Maya lets you sleep tonight 🙂
