Linda Hill hosts the Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt and today’s word is Whatever.

Hubby and I got used to dealing with whatever was thrown at us, from ill health to bad weather, monetary issues to family conflict. It was rare for anything to actually beat us, and if we couldn’t resolve the matter by more traditional means, we thought outside the box and came up with some ingenious solutions, even if I say so myself.

It’s also a quick answer to something that’s undecided as we can shrug our shoulders and simply say ‘Whatever……………’. which I have to be honest, can be somewhat annoying!

But thinking along a different line for today’s prompt, I have found myself wondering ‘Whatever happened to so and so?’
which in turn makes me wonder about old friends we’ve lost touch with, or even certain celebrities that seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth. However, the latter are more than likely to end up on some reality show doing dumb stunts or making complete t***s of themselves for the sake of a few thousand bucks to get back in the public eye.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Is strange you should say that because I was just thinking last night I should go through my old address book and see if I can contact some I’ve lost touch with over the years ☺️

Sparky and I were just commenting on the celebrities who are now hawking things on TV ads! Kind of sad and a little pathetic but better than the has-beens who go in reality shows!!

I have to agree on the celeb front!
My 14 year old niece is in that phase of shrugging and saying whatever! So annoying! X

How true! Some people just vanish. The neighbour of twenty years, classmates from school!
