Re – reading a book that you have enjoyed before is like eating comfort food. You know that you like it and that it will give you the same pleasure that you experienced with it before.

I don’t read as much as I used to, but I did have some favourites I would read again and again.
I liked Judith McNaught’s Paradise, Perfect, Someone to Watch Over Me, Night Whispers, Double Standards and Every Breath you Take, but I wore the gilt off my copy of Remember When, and if I can get another copy, I will.

I also like Erica James and my favourite of hers is Precious Time, a replacement copy of which I had for my birthday last year.
I also like Sandra Brown, the first book of hers I read was called Where There’s Smoke, and I got hooked on her writings. Apart from this one, I also liked breath of Scandal, Envy, and The Silken Web, which made me cry!

When Lee Childs first came on the scene with Jack Reacher (pre TC), I read all of his books until that IMO fateful casting. My favourite of those was Bad Luck and Trouble, though I read Killing Floor, Die Trying and Tripwire three or four times too.

For a classic though, it has to be A.A. Milne’s Pooh Bear.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I think I’ve read the Complete stories of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at least 4 times. It still fascinates!
