Fibbing Friday 11th February: my responses

Here are my answers to Frank’s Fibbing Friday questions this week.

  1. Why is St. Valentine’s day observed on February 14th?
It’s halfway through the month and if a new relationship lasted this long, flowers and chocolates were expected.
  2. According to legend, what is supposed to happen if a groundhog sees his shadow on February 2nd?
He turns into a hamster, is captured and spends the rest of his life on a wheel.
  3. Whether you call it Mardi Gras or Pancake Day, what is the day after “Fat Tuesday” called?
    Did I Eat That Wednesday.
  4. What does Presidents Day commemorate?
The release of the latest USD bank notes.
  5. What is the story of Beauty & the Beast about really?
The effects of that first cup of coffee/tea in the morning, though it should be The Beast and Beauty.
  6. What allows Peter Pan to fly?
    Zip wires.
  7. Why did the princess kiss the frog?
It was better than marrying the old trout chosen by her father.
  8. What is Pinocchio about?
A certain ex-prince and his diva wife.
  9. Why did Little Boy Blue need to blow his horn?
He could hardly suck it now could he?!
  10. Why did Jack and Jill go up the hill?
To get some peace and quiet from Bo-Peep and her sheep.

My turn to host next week.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. I am so happy that Little Bo-Peep’s sheep came home wagging their tails behind them, but I can understand how that would upset Jack and Jill with all of those sheep bleating.
