Today is Monday 7th February

It’s 6pm and I have just accessed my blog after a very positive day.
We were out this morning checking the bank account and were pleased to find that Hubby has been refunded in full for the balls up with his radio battery, plus return and the original postage. This went into his account three days after we returned the item, which wasn’t bad as that fell over a weekend!
We also did some shopping and have treated ourselves to a new kettle and also the full 6 disc collection of Resident Evil. Guess what we watched this afternoon!
We are now well stocked with paper goods, including computer paper as you never know, toilet cleaners and anti bacterial wipes, plus a load of fresh fruit that was all discounted.

Lunch was day 2 of our stew and for my later snack I had a fritatta with sliced cucumber, tomatoes, mixed peppers and carrots, plus a generous dollop of low fat mayo. Total syns for the meal about 3 as the cheese was my second A option today and eggs and veg are free.
After lunch though we went for a walk walking up into town and back along the prom, taking our time and enjoying the sunshine. The tide was well out and we noticed something on the shore so decided to investigate, hoping it might be a seal. Sadly this was not the case and it was just tumble weed, but when we turned round to come back, there was a lot of streaming water behind us so we had to navigate through the sand art and we lucky to just get our shoes wet. We were out for almost two hours though and got home before the temperature dropped. No rain today….. yet.

Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Don’t know whether the sitcom “Friends” ever made it over there. We never watched it however, we recently saw a “cast get together'” program and thought perhaps we would like it! Anyway, end of story is that we bought a set of DVDs covering the whole 10 Seasons of the show and are watching two shows per night ……… and loving them! 🙂

  3. What a lovely day that sounds like! We’ve not been out in days, sun is shining today but my feet are too raw for walking, I am, however doing chair aerobics in front of my sliding glass door (in full sunshine … ahhhh). 😉

A new kettle! I hope it is a workhorse like the old one.. When we were in Florida, Sparky spotted something on the beach and went to investigate. Fortunately he didn’t touch it! It was a jelly fish. My sister said it was probably a moon jelly (about the size of a dinner plate) but here have been some stinging jelly fish too….
