I didn’t think that what I did that night was that bad until he tore into me about it.
To me it was no big deal, and I was doing somebody a favour by letting them use me.
How was I to know my decision would have such a dramatic affect on him.
It wasn’t as if it had cost me anything either. OK, maybe it was a little drastic to what he was used to, but I liked it, and surely that was the most important thing. It looked good and would be a lot easier to care for in the long run.
That would be a big emphatic no then.
I suppose he could have been jealous. After all, I had long hair and he was practically bald, so for a trainee hairdresser to cut my hair and then give me a curly perm (and free of charge) was certainly not something he could have entertained!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

Oh you had me guessing there! 💜

    • True story actually……… ex partner went to darts one night and I was in bed when he got home so he didn’t see my new hairstyle until the morning (our foster girl was a trainee hairdresser so I volunteered. She did a good job actually). His words were along the lines ‘What the F*** have you done to your hair?’ He was furious!!!

Haha! Love how you told your story.

  3. I too wondered where the story was going. LOL

Sounds like the new hair style was good – only his reaction was bad. Sparky likes my hair long but concedes that it is my hair and I can do as I please. His attraction is not based on my hair style! So glad you got away from that kind of life!!!
