Today is Sunday 30th January

It is a beautiful sunny day here, though a little on the chilly side.
Lunch today is vegetable stew and will last us at least three days.

Weigh in this morning and the marshmallows are having the last laugh. With Hubby’s help, the packet has gone, but some danish shortbread biscuits and peanuts have also crept through the dietary net, so I’m not surprised at a two pound gain.
Hopefully I can pull at least one of those back by next Sunday. I’m going for it anyway, but not going to starve myself in the process. There is plenty of choice as to foods I can have without going off plan, I just have to think ahead and keep my hand out of the cookie jars!

Plans today are to top up our fuel tank as we’ve had a few field trips this past week. Diesel prices have gone up by 2p a litre, but on our travels it was more expensive than local prices even taking that into account.

The blog was pretty quiet yesterday but there are a couple of Sunday challenges I’m looking forward to.Ā  I have been introduced to the online Wordle and did my first yesterday. I got the word in four goes, so will probably play again today. It will make a nice change from cribbage, mahjong and solitaire!

Have a good day everyone and keep safe.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

My son showed me Wordle but I’m in love with it… though I did manage to get it before I ran out of tries.
