It’s Monday and Melanie is in the hosting chair for our weekly Share Your World.
You can join in here.
This week, Melanie says

“I’ve gotten five questions and will link each with a link to their site.  Just click on their names (below).  Excellent questions and a bit of a change up from the same old stuff. ”
I’m included here so have removed the link to my blog because you’re already here!
Thanks Melanie!

The Questions:

12-17-2021  Cyranny “What’s the worst day of the week for you?”  Why?
These days, each day is fine, but going back to 1981 – 1989 it would have to be Sunday. I would spend nearly all day in the kitchen either cooking meals, baking pies and cakes, or washing up. Partner would be up the pub and not come home until after 3pm. I got tired of waiting for him so that the family could eat together, so plated his dinner and put it in the warm oven. If it was cold by the time he deigned to come home, tough luck as I didn’t have a microwave then.

1-3-2022   Mrs. A (Jazzocracy)   Mrs A proposes a question for a future SYW. “Would you ever consider posing naked or semi-naked for the camera or a live audience (acting in a play)?”

1-10-2022  Di    With the recent energy crisis here in the UK, would you prefer electric, gas, oil or some other means of heating your home?
Having had them all as well as solid fuel (ie open fire or log burner), gas is probably cheapest (or was until the latest silliness going on), followed by oil which we were pleasantly surprised with in the cottage, solid fuel as our log burner was terrific and oh, so cosy, and electricity as a last resort. In preference, we would go for oil as there is no daily charge and once you fill your tank, you are fully in control. In the cottage we topped up our tank every August before the winter rises, and used between 800 to 900 litres a year depending on the severity of the winter.

1-10-2022  Marilyn  When this pops up later tonight, I MIGHT have thought of a few questions. Like: In your household, who takes care of the bills, taxes, and other financial stuff? Is one person responsible or is it a shared chore? And this has made me notice that my phone is missing. Oops.
That would be me. Hubby admits he is hopeless with money, money management and budgets. He knows what the situation is though because we have no secrets and he knows how I work! He also knows that we can have the occasional treat or luxury so we live very well.

1-10-2022  Yinglan  Not sure if this question was asked before. It’s a bit of a silly one: If you can have any one job (real or fiction) in the galaxy (yes, the galaxy, I’m widening the search radius, imagining relocation to other planets possible), what is that job?
Oh blimey. I loved my job as a financial analyst when I worked for the bank, so anything which involved number crunching would be right up my street. I’m not afraid of working in billions or zillions either, so budget away!

GRATITUDE SECTION  (as always optional)

Who are you grateful for?

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

    Nicely answered Di

  3. Thanks Di for being the first to Share Your World! I love that photo, and know you miss her. Your hubby looks happy and healthy, and that’s a big compliment right there! Thanks for the ‘new’ gratitude meme too, it’s filed and waiting for use! 😀 All your answers were superb, and I admit to chuckling at the answer to Mrs. A’s question. I would have answered “Sure, why not?” at one point in my life, but that time has far passed. Modesty can be underrated. 😉 Thanks again and have a great week!!

    • Thanks Melanie. I don’t think people would want to see a uniboobal me unless it was for medical reasons!
That picture was taken on the banks of the River Witham 12 years ago. Healthy days.
