For visually challenged writers, the image shows a foggy day with the sun just emerging through the clouds. Emerging from the fog is a large castle.
Image K L Caley.
Strangers may not know I exist,
The fog is my blanket of secrecy,
Hidden from view of prying eyes,
I am shrouded in intrigue and mystery.
My turrets gleam in the morning sun,
Catching the rays as they spin
Their webs of light and fantasy
To whatever is hidden within.
Time has no measure, then or now,
If anything, it passed me by,
Horse drawn vehicles, modern day cars,
Or planes flying way up high.
Tread softly lest I hear you approach
And heed the clang of my chains,
As the drawbridge is raised I welcome you
But may not let you out again.
