OK, I admit it. I’ve succumbed and reached for the chocolate covered marzipan for a sweet treat.
Sad news is that the bar is 175g not 125g as I thought, and each 25g attracts 5½ syns.
However, to show willing I halved the syn value by sharing it with Hubby but still aware I have overshot my syns allowance. I shall be back on plan tomorrow.
Although many diet programmes say not to weigh yourself every day, I do because it helps keep me on track. I have not lost that pound that is so attached to me it doesn’t want to leave, but I have been feeling tired and lethargic and sometimes a sugar fix is called for. Sometimes it could even be salt, so the salted peanuts are also in reserve.
Anyway, to cheer myself up a little, I found this, a post I did for a challenge last year.
The Yo-Yo effect of weight watching.
Time to avoid all those sugary snacks,
Put aside biscuits, chocolate, and sweets.
Say adieu to the pastries, and pies,
Fruit or veg only for treats.
The defeatist has a better idea
Peeling back paper on a bag of chips,
Pickles and sauces, buttered bread,
Dunked in a variety of dips.
The secret is to enjoy what you eat,
So what if your dream diet fails?
The master plan that always works
Is actually avoiding the scales.
Hehe! That last pound is always a hard one to shake.
I’m telling myself it’s not the final pound to lose as I’d like to lose a few more, but it is a vital pound, as it puts me smack on target again.
The topic for Saturday’s prompt? It would be a good one, because I know how discouraging it is when a person ‘slips’. Usually a slip would lead to that whole bad week and cessation of the diet plan I was using at the time of the slip. That’s where I got the wisdom around bingeing I think. Moderation, right? You did good and that Marzipan? Would be hard for Superman (woman) to resist! 🙂
Already included Melanie. The other marzipans are still in the drawer as are the chocolates and marshmallows, as yet unopened..
