Today is Sunday 9th January

It is a beautiful day here, such a pleasing contrast from yesterday’s rain and cold.
We’ve been for a walk along the prom where the tractor is raking the sand back on to the beach where it belongs. It was really busy with dog walkers, most of which we didn’t recognise so no puppy fixes for me.  Photo June 2021

Town though was very quiet and the two shops we went in to find Hubby’s red rawl plugs had them in packets which looked awfully small for the job he wanted them for.
Field trip tomorrow then and we can have a look around. We won’t have lunch out though, but may treat ourselves to a cup of coffee to have in the car. Hubby could have a gingerbread biscuit or sausage roll if he wishes.

Lunch today was a spaghetti bolognese and there is enough left over for tomorrow. Hubby fancied broccoli as a side so instead of grating cheese on the top, we had that instead saving a few syns. It made a nice change actually.
No marshmallow treat for me today as I didn’t hit target, but I was still two pounds lighter than my official weigh in last week (on Jan 1st I was out of target but pulled it back for Sunday’s text in) so I am well pleased with that and it’s given me something to aim for next week.

We had a host of birds in the garden this morning including 2 blackbirds, a fieldfare, woody and a pigeon, plus six grey doves. Not too happy about a couple of crows trying to muscle in but the starlings are enjoying the fat balls!

Other than that, a quiet day planned here. Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. My niece (Betanda) is with her puppy this weekend on the coast near Sutton on the Sea. Are you near there?

Congrats on the 2 pound loss Di! Way to go! You did well losing that! xx

    • I did indeed, though three would have been nicer. Still, I was pleased and that’s what matters. Hopefully next week will see me smack on target which is what I’m aiming for. I have a treat lined up if I get there!!
