5 Fave Cupcakes and Muffins

Dr Tanya is our hostess for the Five Things challenge.

This week, it’s cupcakes and muffins.
My first thought was of Paula Light as she adores cupcakes.
Over here in the UK, cup cakes are probably what we used to call fairy cakes, those lovely light little things Mum used to make in bun tins.

Going with that then, plain was OK
but iced was better
and butterfly cakes the best!
I have a terrible sweet tooth, and fondant fancies were always a favourite
Blueberry muffins are popular in our house because Hubby can eat them with no repercussions. We get a pack of four for less than a pound.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I’m partial to a blueberry muffin or a butterfly cake! Yummy!

    • The muffin is syn loaded but the butterfly cake might be less. I’m already looking at what I have for goodies and working out their syn value so that I can at least try and control my intake to some extent over Christmas as I’m going to have two days off!!

  7. Yummy looking treats, for sure.
