When six became ten

It has been a beautiful day here. So mild in fact, we turned the heating off and threw open the windows to air the house.

This afternoon, Hubby took himself, the Nikon and Love a Duck down to the park. He was the only one sailing today and there was just one duck on the water which was like a mill pond.
He put his boat through its paces and it performed well. No geese to give it enquiring looks as on its maiden voyage, but the mallard didn’t seem to mind sharing. Cropped view of Love a Duck from above picture.
As for me, I made some cards as I only had one left in reserve now, and that, for me, is cutting it too fine in case I’ve forgotten anyone! I’d made over 50 this year too!!
I had a proper look through the sheets I’d purchased a little while ago and there are some lovely images there ranging from traditional trees to Dickens, to Santas and cute cartoon type reindeer. I’m looking forward to making them for next year as they are going to be really nice and all different.
I used some today and made use of some backing papers, two sheets actually making three cards as I joined the cut edges together for the third. That actually worked quite well as the image was the same, but one had gold enhancements.
I was only going to make six, but ended up making ten and only gave up then because my back was aching something fierce!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

So good! I especially like the 3rd from the left in the top row. It looks very elegant!

    • That was my last doily from three years ago as I’ve never been able to purchase any in silver or gold glitter again. The little train goes quite well I think (and Hubby bought me train set three Christmases ago!)
