Today is Wednesday Dec 1st

White Bunnies! It’s the first of a new month, and the festive season will be knocking at our door in due course.
We are off to shop this morning, nothing too heavy, just our monthly bulk items and I shall be sneaking a few Christmas goodies into the basket. Our ten pound dash will be nearer Christmas as shopping at the last minute is half the fun!!

Meters have been read and the gas usage has gone up which isn’t surprising bearing in mind how cold it’s been over the last few days. In monetary terms, we’ve added Β£3 to the bill, so I’m not complaining as our account is well in credit for the winter.

I’m driving today so thankful we’ve had a fair bit of rain so any snow is likely to have been washed away. The wind is cold and there is more bad weather on its way according to the Met Office.

Have a good day everyone and keep safe!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

We are having cold clear days but the weather folks keep predicting rain and snow. I’m hoping it holds off for a while yet as there are so many traveling.
