Blogging Insights – New Format # 19

Her quote today is

“If you get tired, learn to rest, not quit.”
Have you ever felt that you are too tired, busy, preoccupied , overwhelmed or just plain lazy to post on your blog? Whenever you feel like throwing in the towel and giving up on blogging, taking a hiatus is a good idea. So I agree with this quote. The quote is about life in general but I thought it could be applied to blogging.

The quote does indeed relate to life in general, but Dr T is right that it could also apply to blogging.
I like to think I’m not a quitter, and the one time when I really was ready to give up, my anger brought me to my senses as he wasn’t worth it. Valleys and winding roads can be a good wake up call.

I am so glad I discovered how to schedule posts because I do so with my 3TC and set an entire week at a time. I used to do Take Seven but was finding it hard going and I was running out of ideas, so I took a hiatus from that. The jury is still out as to whether I’ll reinstate it.

Blogging is an important part of my day now, and I cannot see me giving it up.
We’ve been busy today, it’s past 6pm and I haven’t read half the challenges I enjoy on a Monday yet. There are photoprompts, word challenges and Q&A and I like to bring something a little different ‘to the table’, though on a rare occasion nothing presents itself and I have to pass.
I might be tired, busy, preoccupied or overwhelmed, but I don’t think I would ever be too lazy to put out a post, even if it was to say I was tired, busy, preoccupied or overwhelmed!

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

You always post about your day even when you’re too busy.

  2. I am glad you think so too Di.
The kind of non profit blogging that most of us do is no use if we find it overwhelming.
