Toppers rule

I have been meaning to make some more Christmas cards this week as I only had enough for those to be posted. Finding suitable things to use has been difficult, but yesterday I went into the local craft shop and took a chance with a pack of 16 sheets (all different it said) for Β£6, and another 6 sheets for Β£2.50.
I’d been in two minds a couple of days before as I’d been caught out here and half of the things I’d bought at the time were either flimsy and fell apart, or incomplete kits.
I can honestly say I was really pleased with my purchases and have sufficient in stock now for next year too.

I made 14 cards today, but when I was sorting out my photos, it seems I’ve duplicated some so they are not all here today.
I was playing with leaves and did these:

I used backing papers for some of the others

I had a small problem with some stickers I’d bought for last year and hadn’t used them as when I tried to peel them off, they broke. Made me wonder if card trimmings should have a shelf life!

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  2. Those cards are gorgeous and I LOVE the one with the little bear, it’s so precious! ❀ I suspect the glue on those stickers dried out or got old, and that’s why the difficulty. I’ve had the same thing happen sometimes. Obviously your purchases this time around were good value for your money! A bonus! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards! πŸ™‚

  3. More lovely cards. I’m sure the recipients will enjoy them.
