Today is Saturday 27th November

Happy birthday to SIL in NZ, and also my neighbour who is 70 today. I took round some flowers and a card yesterday as she is expecting a houseful of visitors today and they are all going out for a celebratory meal. Little Daisy is being shut away every time the door bell goes as otherwise she is out like a shot!

There should be a Christmas Market on in town today, but with winds up to 50 mph and gusts of almost double that expected according to the weather forecast, it’s unlikely to go ahead. I managed to get a pack of Christmas toppers yesterday when we walked into town and just hope that the 16 sheets are all toppers, and not housing 10 pretty pieces of paper in the middle.
It is horrible out. We were woken up around 5am by horrendous rain, and it was like someone was throwing grit at the windows. The wind is enough to blow you off your feet, and Hubby has taken the CB aerial down as it was whipping too much for his liking.
It is bitterly cold and the sky is as confused as the weather forecast. Hubby has checked three this morning where one says rain and another says snow, but all three share the theme of high winds.

Hope your day is calmer! Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
