I can hear the sea!

As I sit here in our lounge, the wind is blowing fiercely and you can hear the sea.
It’s just over a five minute walk away and sometimes at night you can really hear it roar.
There was a lull (read con) in the weather, so we donned our yellows and set off for a walk to see what it was doing.
The floodgates have been closed and bolted for the winter months, and the tide was coming in. I took these pictures with the Nikon. It was loud!
We would have walked further and taken some more photos, but the wind was getting stronger and nearly blew me off my feet so we came home.
The water wasn’t quite as close to the prom as it was here though in March 2018

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I love the sounds of nature. Here it is mostly crows that I can hear when I pop open the window…5 minute walk..wow, didn’t realize you were that close to the shore!

  3. I have been reading about the storm in Britain. It’s impacting all the planes trying to land at Heathrow.

    • I’ve only just signed into my computer so haven’t caught up with the news yet. We are being hammered here on the East Coast of the UK and there is worse to come apparently.

  4. I dream about living close enough to the Pacific Ocean to hear it.
