I haven’t done one of these for a while, but Linda’s prompt this week is very close to my heart.
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “black, gray, and white.” Use one, use ’em all. Bonus points if you use all three. Have fun!

We have often said that if dog licences were still necessary, we could not afford a colour one so it was just as well Maggie was black and white.

As the years progressed, she began to turn gray around her muzzle, but she was always up to the chase of squirrels, crows, pigeons or seagulls.

As a pup, we would walk her in the local park where she’d play with other dogs quite nicely, especially Sam, a black labrador, and Drummer, a gray dachshund she used to treat as a hurdle and go flying over him.
One day we were at Hamworthy Park and could not have timed it better for socialising her.
Her first encounter were small yorkies, then jack russels, followed by dogs of varying larger sizes in order, and she was fine with the black and white dalmation, but with Bella, the black and tan doberman, she was more than a little surprised, but soon got over it.
Going back to the car, we met up with white Newfoundlands and she had great fun running under their bellies or chasing their tails. In later weeks, we met up with three mastiffs, and she played with them too.
Happy days, bless her.
Our favorite grand dog (don’t tell we have favorites) was so sweet and when she turned gray around the nose, her face was just adorable. I loved your post today.
Thanks Maggie. Our baby was beautiful.
The photos are lovely, Di.
Thank you. There are loads of her here.
Aww, such a lovely post.
Thanks Sadje
Looks like a lovely dog. Aren’t pets fun! They add value to life.
She was beautiful and we lost her just over a year ago. She was almost 16 and we’d had her since she was a 7 week old pup.
Oh my…we used to have a miniature dachshund and the thought of her being used as a hurdle — bwahahahaha!!! Memories of our dogs are priceless.
They are Laura. We have some lovely ones of Maggie and her predecessors.
❤😥🌈💕 *sniffle* She was magnificent and gorgeous!
Thanks Melanie. She’ll always be with us.
Awe bless 💜💜💜💜
Thanks Willow. How’s Ruby?
She has had two biopsies in as many weeks she has been so good. Such a brave girl. We will have more news next week.💜🤞
Fingers crossed all is well Willow.
