Frank aka PCGuyIV is our host for Truthful Tuesday. You can find out more here
Frank has given us multiple questions this week, so let’s get stuck in shall we??
Time for a game of “This or That” (aka “Would You Rather”). Please do your best to choose one of the two options for each one, though if you absolutely cannot bring yourself to do so, whether it’s because you like (or hate) both options equally, then by all means, be honest.
Would you rather:
- Do Housework or Yardwork?
Housework. I’m not one for gardening though I will be out there helping Hubby planting or harvesting our home produce.
- Clean the Kitchen or the Bathroom?
Both. Hubby and I cannot abide a dirty bathroom or kitchen, so they are always clean.
- Do Laundry or Dishes?
Ah, the beauty of an automatic washing machine! I hated having to get out the twin tub, but needs must and it was all we could afford at the time. Neither of us iron (press) unless absolutely necessary as we learned on the boat that a warm fold was every bit as good. Our clothes are such that they fold well off the line too.
Saying that though, I am happy wash the dishes rather than dry them, though this ties in with Q2 as we like the kitchen to be clean and tidy.
- Mow or Edge the lawn?
I can mow, and Hubby will edge with the strimmer as I can’t operate it very well.
- Get up early or Stay up late?
I hate getting up early unless we have to (like today). Staying up late is unusual for us too as we retire around 9pm, though will listen to music or use the computers until about 11pm.
- Cook or Eat Out?
Eating out is a bit of a No-No for Hubby just now, unless it is something really simple like a pastry slice or a cookie which we can eat in the car, plus neither of us are happy in a crowd or a densely occupied cafe. Even prior to Covid, both of us were content for me to cook, though I have to confess, he cooks the best liver, bacon and onions in the world.
- Go to a restaurant or Order take-out/delivery?
See above. We do neither now.
- Vacuum or Dust?
I hate dusting, but will do it when you can write your name in it, or we forget what colour the organ is. It was always a standing joke that in the cottage we had His and Hers hoovers as I can’t get on with a cylinder cleaner, and Hubby can’t get on with an upright. We have a Henry now which can do my back in , but either of us will hoover.
- Have a Large Party or a Small Gatherings?
I have no family nearby and neither of us have been one for parties anyway. A small gathering would suit us better, us and a couple of friends. Even when we got married there was only 9 of us in total, 10 including the Registrar. It was a brilliant day!
- Read Fiction or Non-fiction?
I don’t read anywhere as much as I used to, and when I did, it was usually fiction. However, I have read a couple of autobiographies and one of Hubby’s favourite books is A Woman in The Polar Night by Christiane Ritter which I enjoyed and was non-fiction. She died in Vienna in 2000 at the age of 103.
