That Buzzy Feeling

Hubby received a panicky phone call from a neighbour asking him to come and check her internet connection as her telly was making funny noises and she was more than a little anxious.
He went round and everything seemed OK, but there was an annoying buzzing noise, which he put down to the cooling fan in her Smart TV.
After a while, everything went quiet much to her relief.
The phone rang five minutes later and she said it had started again, even though she had turned everything off, including at the wall, and unplugged it. Hubby still believed it to be the fan, saying it would sort itself out and to give it a few more minutes.
We thought all was well, but I gave her a call just to make sure she was OK. She was far from it and Hubby went round to reassure her.
He was back five minutes later saying we’d been invited in for a cuppa as she was a little wound up.

We went in and she looked very sheepish.
‘Don’t ask’, she said and burst out laughing.
Over a cup of tea, Hubby said nothing had made any sense when everything was switched off so it had to be something else, and thus the culprit of the buzz was revealed………..
a battery operated toothbrush in her dresser that for some reason kept turning itself on and off when the TV was on. Hubby grinned and said it was a new one on him.
Said toothbrush has now been delegated to the bin.
Hang on, what were you thinking ????????????????

From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
