Forgetmenots

KL Caley is our host for the Thursday Write Photo. You can find out more and join in here.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows an area of plants with a sign showing 5MPH.

It was his favourite place he said,
One where he could think and relax.
The view was restful,
The surroundings peaceful,
The pace slow and easy.
Look for the sign and a mass of forgetmenots.

The note was on the fence just as he said it would be.
Just two words, and her world was complete.
‘Marry Me.’

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

How sweet!! I look forward to the day when someone proposes to me. I hope it’s romantic. I’ve only been proposed to (and married) once and it was rushed and uncomfortable.

    • Thanks. Glad you liked it. When my first husband put my engagement ring on my finger, it was quite romantic and the last track of side 1 of Blue Jays was playing. Sadly that marriage didn’t last.
Hubby and I have been married 30 years now and he has his moments!!

I love hearing stories like that ❤️it gives me hope. Congratulations on the 30 years, that’s hard to find these days.

      • Thank you. We are very lucky, and still don’t know when the slushy stuff appeared. We were friends first as that was all we wanted and had to offer. The rest is all a glorious bonus and neither of us can imagine our lives without the other in it.
