Today is Sunday 24th October

It will still be dark when this goes out as I’m scheduling this one prior to the day of the 3 CT scans.
It sounds like some kind of dance or secret recipe doesn’t it, but I shall be having my breakfast in the car with the suduku book and rubbered pencil in my sticky little mitt.
The scans could take a couple of hours as there is some prep work that has to be done but there is no way I would let Hubby go on his own. At least they won’t be knocking him out this time, but there is always a chance he might have a reaction to whatever they give him.
The work they’re doing to the hospital is taking shape and it is going to be quite something when finished.

I don’t mind sitting in the car actually. It’s a lot more comfortable than the I10 and I can stretch my legs out if I sit in the passenger seat. I am so glad I can drive as it takes the pressure off and we can share any long journeys, or like recently, I drive whilst Hubby relaxes.
I checked the opening times of the cafe and shop, so I can get a hot drink and a sandwich.
Latte coffee and a BLT sounds favourite. The diet has gone out of the window, but to be honest the scales have been kind. No weigh in this week or next, so I have time to get my act together, though the virtual meetings and text ins are coming to an end next month, so my SW membership may well lapse. As a target member I don’t have to attend every week, but it is further to go now so I’d have to take the car rather than walk, and I’m still not comfortable in groups, especially with people I don’t really know or have regular contact with.

Hope your day has started well. I’ll be back later.
Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

I’m still masked and try to distance – church is a big issue as there are tons of folks who don’t mask and I know that many of them didn’t get the vaccination… Stay safe and I hope the scans were all done quickly!
