Today is Friday 22nd October

Good afternoon!
Hope your day is going well. We are enjoying a bit of sunshine after another damp start, but the wind is bitterly cold.

Hubby has been working on the electrics for our generator and things have gone together nicely. He has a few things to tweak, twist and bend, but other than that, everything is looking very good.

We received a text message yesterday to say the cooker would be delivered between 11.20 and 15.20 today. I had a phone call at 11 am to say they would be with us within half an hour, and they pulled up bang on 11.20. Everything looks good and now that we know what connections are required, can plan in readiness for our gas fitter on the Nov 11th.

My kitchen timer has been playing jingle bells this morning as I set it to remind me to put the lasagna on, then again for cooking time, and finally a third time to remind us when Hubby could no longer have anything to eat. He can drink clear liquids though. His appointment is in the afternoon.
On Sunday, he can eat normally until 3 hours before his CT scans, so if he’s up early, can have breakfast as normal as his appointment is 9.40. I shall be doing a lot of suduku or writing letters in the car, though hopefully I’ll be able to get myself a hot drink and something to eat from one of the cafes to take back to the car.

Going to attack blogland now and attend to comments and pingbacks.
Keep safe and take care everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

  1. I hope the appointment goes well. I also spend a lot of time waiting in hospitals, but at least I can sit in the semi private ward and don’t have to be in the car.

    • Patients are not allowed to take anyone with them unless they are a carer. Not a problem for me as i shall take my writing pad and suduku book. I can always have a nap too.

Seems that’s the norm now – no one come in with the patient unless they are required due to having to push a wheelchair or guide a blind person… Hope all the tests reveal the problem!
