It was single mission and their time on the boat as it approached the beaches was murder. The refugees were cold, hungry, had little personal space as everyone was packed in so tight, and the air was foul from sweat and bodily functions.
It was never intended to be a speedy journey, their secret weapon being the dark as the nights were drawing in. Hopefully evidence of their arrival wouldn’t be found until they were all safely away…… wherever that may be as once they landed, they were on their own.
