Today is Thursday 14th October

Good morning! Yes, I am here bright and early!!

I am expecting a call from my GP with the results of my bone density scan I had a few weeks ago. Hopefully everything is OK.

We’ve done some washing this morning ad the sun is trying to be kind and come out from behind the clouds. the day is mild so we’re hopeful. Last year we managed very well with only a few visits to the launderette to use the big dryer as we washed small loads and could get them dry indoors. The bigger stuff we did on sunny days so that we could get it out on the line. Even if I wanted a tumble dryer, we have nowhere to put one.

Other than that, today should be a quiet day. After aborting yesterday’s shop for building materials, that may be rectified later. Hubby knows what he wants, so there is no need for me to go with him into the shop and risk a repetition of yesterday. I feel fine today and so convinced it was just overheating and breathing in ‘my own fumes’ from my mask.

My aunt has replied to my letter with dates regarding my twin aunts and cousin’s cancers.
One died of cervical cancer shortly before her 51st birthday in 1978, the other in 1981 and had lost her right breast (same as me), and my cousin died in 2006, also in her mid fifties, and had lost a breast too. I can now fill in the gaps when I see the history consultant on the 27th. Still no sign of the results of my ultrasound or mammogram, so that is something else I can ask the doctor about when I speak to her today.

Hope your day is off to a good start.
Take care and as always, keep safe everyone.

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
