This afternoon has been spent doing our own thing in our own space.
Since turning the bed ninety degrees in the spare bedroom, there is a lot more space for Hubby to work. He has now rectified the small problems he had on the boat and back on an even keel sotospeak with his progress.
I’ve been busy making cards this afternoon, and because they were all basic and not too fiddly, except one which I’ll come back to in a minute, it was restful and therapeutic.
I botched one as the lattice I was carefully cutting out broke, so I cut that bit off and had a ‘staggered’ card with a bit of trim, a vase of flowers and a couple of butterflies. It’s the one on the right here:
I made 2 like the one on the left, my background being a jam jar cover, and also 2 Christmas cards like the one in the centre which was two sides of a gift bag!
These were the other three five inch cards I made today:
I made four four inch cards using a simple greeting, adding feathers and leaves on two and just backing paper on the other two.
Here’s a close up of the gold butterfly (left)
I’ve enjoyed myself today and now have a few more Hello cards in the box.
They are all very pretty – but I have to say that the gold one is outstanding!
Thanks Val.
These are very good Di
