MLMM Wordle #257

Yves is our host for the Monday MLMM Wordle. You can join in here

Our words today are a real challenge!
Basking, Crumbs, Tongue, Maybe, Lifetime, Last, Luminous, original, mix, pretend,

  1. the scar of a healed wound.
    • a scar on the bark of a tree.
    • BOTANY a mark on a stem left after a leaf or other part has become detached.

Proprioception- Proprioception, otherwise known as kinesthesia, is your body’s ability to sense movement, action, and location. It’s present in every muscle movement you have. … Proprioception allows you to walk without consciously thinking about where to place your foot next. It lets you touch your elbow with your eyes closed.

Basking in the warmth of the sun, I see the cicatrix where we carved our names a lifetime ago.
Your luminous eyes shone that night, a mix of desire, passion and longing.
Maybe it was a blessing that the words on the tip of my tongue remained unspoken as you offered me crumbs of your love, playing your game of pretend for the last time.
It was not an original scenario, nor the anger, sadness and loss that followed.
Proprioception brings me back to the present. Things are not as they were and as the leaves rustle, I fly away. Free.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
