Sunday Poser # 45

Sadje’s question today is

I’ve always liked to write, though in later life usually it was letters to family or friends.
At school, I was never really encouraged and often told I waffled because once I got my teeth into a subject, I’d write pages.  I think in all honesty the teachers couldn’t be bothered to read it.

Regular readers know it was Hubby’s idea for me to start my blog 8 years ago. He’d had one for years and thought I might enjoy it. I was surprised when people seemed interested in my posts, though my first few were very long winded (what a surprise!).
As my confidence grew, so did my followers and I wrote about different things, even throwing some of my poetry into the works.

As a teenager, I had a Moan Book, somewhere I would write down what was bothering or annoying me, then the following day I’d read it, think how silly it all was and rip the pages out. I always felt better having got it off my chest, and in many aspects, Blogging is like that, but it’s not often I actually moan, though I do have the occasional rant!
Blogging is diverse and so versatile,  you can share experiences or concerns if you want to, and the support and camaraderie is second to none for me. Nothing is forced upon you, and if you don’t like what you read, you can click off that particular post or site.

Why do I blog?
I feel a part of a community, it’s a way of keeping in touch with every day things, learning about different cultures, appreciating someone else’s point of view, agreeing to differ without judgement, a means to share, console, and support, but the most important thing is, I enjoy it.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! We have recently lost our beloved dog Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney, and now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of my GSD so had hers done too. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.
