It’s Friday!
Welcome to my Take Seven compilation which incorporates all 21 words (or derivatives) from the Three Things Challenge for the past week.
You are most welcome to join in using as many or all of the words too. Just pingback to this post and then leave a link to your post in the comments so that I can see it and respond directly.
As always, have fun, and I hope you enjoy this week’s effort.
Our words were:
biscuits, blind, candle, carnation, chef, cushion, diary, ginger, glass, horse, lamp, mobile, mug, organ, pen, photograph, plug, rifle, salt, socket, table.
As I was sitting here preparing the weekly 3TC posts, I looked about me. All of the things listed above are here in our lounge and I thought I’d do something different this week and invite you into our home for a cup of tea.
We have blinds up at the windows, and a pot containing a piece of ginger root which is growing nicely is on the sill. Hubby bought me a bunch of carnations this week which are in a vase on the table in the bay. We have a coffee table too which has a glass of water on a coaster and the fruit bowl on it with my food diary, mobile phone, gingernut biscuits in a tupperware box and a couple of pens on the shelf underneath.
The organ has three photographs on it, and alongside that is a small lamp. That corner houses a plug socket and leads for our DVD, mini hifi and monitor screen to view.
We have a variety of knick knacks on the shelves, which include a chef and maid salt and pepper pot, our candle holder, a shire horse and our collection of owls. There is also a miniature rifle on a stand which was a gift given to Hubby by a neighbour last year.
Of course the scene would not be complete with a mug of tea beside me, and Mum’s tapestries on the cushions behind me underneath our fur babies.
Welcome and relax. Milk and sugar? You can even kick your shoes off and put your feet up if you like!
What a lovely welcome, Di, I love the portraits of your doggies!
Thanks Chris. My furbabies. Barney on the left, Kizzy in the middle and our lovely Maggie on the right.
Such a comfortable space! The atmosphere of welcome permeates every corner!
Thank you! We’ve often said that the best compliment anyone can give us to to be so comfortable, they fall asleep!
