It’s Friday!
Welcome to my Take Seven compilation which incorporates all 21 words (or derivatives) from the Three Things Challenge for the past week.
You are most welcome to join in using as many or all of the words too. Just pingback to this post and then leave a link to your post in the comments so that I can see it and respond directly.
As always, have fun, and I hope you enjoy this effort, which is nothing to do with my dentist appointment last week in case you thought it might be!!
Our words were:
blood, buff, gel, laugh, mask, numb, poke, pound, press, rinse, scrape, screen, shake, stain, sweat, tap, teeth, tickle, tissue, tremble, water
It was a blood moon and she let her mask fall as the coolness of the night numbed her skin. Lying in the buff beside him, desire made her body tremble.
The breeze tickled as his teeth gently scraped her ear, tapping into her senses.
Pressing into her, two hearts started to pound as their bodies began to gel in perfect harmony.
Replete in his arms, she stretched, her toes poking through the grass lining the river bank.
He slept.
She dove into the water to rinse off the sweat of their passion, then stood watching him.
Shaking the droplets from her hair, they cast a rainbow of moisture in the moonlight.
She dressed, the screen of her persona back in place, a sad laugh caught in her throat.
Their love wasn’t meant to be, but she would remember this night and how her child was conceived.
She left a tissue stained with her kiss on his chest, and quietly walked away, knowing they would never meet again.
Wow, Di! What’s the rest of the story?
I wrote something along similar lines sometime ago but the guy wasn’t so lucky

A chill love – no way to start or end a relationship with deception and abandonment….
