Today is Wednesday September 1st

Hello and white bunnies!
The new month has started overcast and cold, plus we have that horrible invisible drizzle on the air that you don’t notice. We are hoping it might brighten up this afternoon so that we can put some washing on.

Wednesday means meter reading day and we are right where we ought to be. My little comparison sheet is not showing too great an increase in cost, but as we know, most of that is actually down to the con daily service charge which consumers can do nothing about.

Hubby called the surgery today and it took over half an hour to get through. This is almost familiar territory, but at least he was not on hold and running up the phone bill for that amount of time as the line was engaged. Saying that though, he has an appointment with the doctor about his pain meds this afternoon. Having received notification about the flu jabs being available from the 15th, he shall be booking those at the same time.

Yesterday we decided to go to the bank and do our shopping instead of today, so lunch was late and we had the munchies all day. It was not a relaxing trip as no-one was wearing a mask except us, but we got everything done and are still solvent!
Today we are having tuna fish cakes which will not take long to prepare. I have some salad stuff left in the fridge and Hubby will have a small tin of beans with his.

Hope your day and month is off to a good start.
Take care and keep safe everyone.

About pensitivity101

I am a retired number cruncher with a vivid imagination and wacky sense of humour which extends to short stories and poetry. I love to cook and am a bit of a dog whisperer as I get on better with them than people sometimes! In November 2020, we lost our beloved Maggie who adopted us as a 7 week old pup in March 2005. We decided to have a photo put on canvas as we had for her predecessor Barney. We now have three pictures of our fur babies on the wall as we found a snapshot of Kizzy, my GSD when Hubby and I first met so had hers done too. On February 24th 2022 we were blessed to find Maya, a 13 week old GSD pup who has made her own place in our hearts. You can follow our training methods, photos and her growth in my blog posts. From 2014 to 2017 'Home' was a 41 foot narrow boat where we made strong friendships both on and off the water. We were close to nature enjoying swan and duck families for neighbours, and it was a fascinating chapter in our lives. We now reside in a small bungalow on the Lincolnshire coast where we have forged new friendships and interests.

We’re offtoo a good start but it’s more like late October early November than the first day of September 💜💜

It got hot today – I had to change from jeans to shorts… We’ve had just enough rain to make the grass grow faster and the mowing have to be postponed due to the wetness. I got some dirty looks as I went to the grocery wearing my mask. Then again, I’m not sick and I intend to stay that way!!
